Work Pointer
An accessibility utility for people who need an unusually large mouse cursor but find that it can obscure tooltips, text, and other interface details. Work Pointer automatically hides the cursor after it remains still for a few seconds and provides a keyboard command that snaps it to the upper-left corner of the screen.

A large cursor—only when you need it.
Created with AutoHotkey.
- AutoHotkey
AutoHotkey was completely new to me, making Work Pointer an exercise in adapting to an unfamiliar language and API to solve a specific accessibility problem. Because my profound vision loss requires an extremely large cursor, it can obscure tooltips and text inside the programs I use for work. Work Pointer hides the cursor after it remains still for a few seconds, then provides a keyboard shortcut that moves it to the upper-left corner whenever I lose track of it. The result solves both problems with almost no strain on the computer.
