Why?

I am personally losing my sight quickly. I also need to be able to function effectively whether I have someone around to help me or not.
So I came to a decision, I can either sit here and feel sorry for myself, or I can do something about it.
Currently there are products on the market that help, but not enough. There are Better ways. I know what I could benefit from. If I manage to create something that works well for me, there is a really good chance others, and potentially many others, could benefit from my efforts.
